Time Keeps Ticking…

As one sits and thinks about it they can’t help but begin to let their mind wander about the possibilities that lay ahead. I find myself stealing a few moments each day now thinking about what our lives will be like after we are blessed with our new addition. Sometimes things seem to be clear and other times I can’t begin fathom the opportunities or challenges that await us.

The one things that seems to bring this reality closer and closer is the changes now that seem to be happening almost daily to Sara as she continues along in her pregnancy. What tasks before that could be easily done, now take a few extra moments. When getting out of bed in the morning was simple task, one finds that it’s more of a 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 process (tuck and roll). Although this may inhibit her cat like reflexes it does not keep her spirits down. She continues to have a great attitude about the whole experience.

Over the Thanksgiving holidays were took a small vacation to visit with the Grant Family out in Vermont. The trip was a welcomed relief and probably the last big adventure before “we” become “three”. Kari, Martin and Aidan were wonderful hosts, and we had a great time exploring the small town and campus (especially the Dirt Cowboy). We were also able to sneak in a trip to a Dartmouth Men’s Hockey game against Princeton, and as tradition goes after the first Dartmouth goal the crowd tossed tennis balls on the ice. Other than relaxing at home and having wonderful food and conversations we were still able to get out and see the town and visit the Hood Art Center on campus. After the 5 day stay we got up on Monday morning around 2:00 am CST and headed to the Manchester Airport to fly home.

Now we look forward to the remaining 12 weeks of pregnancy before the official due date of little Suwalski and only hope it goes as smooth as the first 28. Sara will begin visiting the Midwives more frequently and will finish up with her tests.

Here are some pictures from the visit:

Oh you guys. I love you too much. Sara Ann, it was wonderful to see you and Kerry at Olive Garden. Let’s try to plan for another outing in January.
