As the three of us (Sara, Little Monkey, and I) sat and watched the game on Monday night I was disheartened to see the Bears off to such a bad start. It wasn’t looking good going into the half down by 20 points and then it happened. You could say it was from the energy building from the Bears sack and fumble recovery for a touchdown, or from the unrelenting need to cheer. But as we sat and watched the “magical†Chicago Bears play on Monday night football we were blessed with the opportunity to have some fan cheering from within.
Yes, as we sat and watched the game we were first able to feel the sporadic movement within Sara’s belly. It was very faint, but every now and then it was a big kick. This was amazing to watch, as this new life develops inside and untouched by the world, and yet can have so much impact already. We had to stop and admire the sheer amazement of what is truly becoming a miracle within.
Oh and congrats to the Chicago Bears who remain undefeated for now at 6-0 with a spectacular (but not the best news of Monday night).

Matt & Sara Ann: That is very exciting news about feeling little “Monkey” kick for the first time. Brings back very fond memories of when I was pregnant with Matthew. I remember how excited your Dad was to feel the baby kick. He would sit for hours while I was watching TV with his hand on my tummy just waiting to feel any movement.
Take good care of yourselves,
Love, Mom/Linda/Grandma-to-be
