My First Camping Trip!
This weekend, we traveled south to Kettle Moraine State Park “Long Lake.” This was George’s first camping trip and we think he did very well. We arrived to our campsite around 3pm on Saturday. As George rested in his car seat Sara and I unloaded the car, put up the tent, and got George’s things ready. After setting everything up we had a leisurely afternoon where George decided to play in his diaper for a while because it was around 85 degrees out. After dinner we took a walk and George got ready for his bed time. Although he as feeling better for a while he appears to be “leaking” again from the nose. This only came about on Fri-Sat and we hope it passes rather quickly.
George had a good night and when we got up we had muffins and then took a walk down to the beach again. Afterwards as George slept Sara and I scurried around like pack rats getting everything ready to depart for home. All-in-all a good experience and a positive one to see George enjoy this outdoors so much.
Here are some pictures from the weekend:
I take my milk anyway I can get it…
Yup, I’m happy! (Shhh don’t tell mom and dad I poo’d again for the third time)
That’s where I sleep over there…in the George Wing of the Suwalski tent!

Back to Normal :)
Over the past week George was feeling a little under the weather. Now it is good to see him doing better. He is smiling and is not as fussy when he sleeps at night. One of the big transitions that we made this past two weeks was that George is now sleeping in his crib in his own room. This was a big step, but he seems to be enjoying his new “crib” because he tends to sleep longer in their. Mom also does not mind as he is getting her up less frequently during the night.
This weekend we are off to see Grandma and Grandpa Suwalski down in Franklin Park, IL, and on Saturday I am taking mommy out to see the Broadway show “Wicked” at the Oriental Theater in downtown Chicago.
Here are a few new pics of George:

2 Months Old Today!
Today George went for his 2 month check-up. He is doing very well & has the following measurements:
25″ long (above the 100%)
36 cm head (50%)
11 lbs, 15 oz (75%)
He gave Dr. House a big smile & she said that type of smile doesn’t usually come until 4 months! He turned on the charm and was all smiles and giggles for her – she was happy to see that he was so responsive – evidence of a lot of ‘talking’ to him. He has good strength in his arms and legs…his head & neck are growing stronger every day. He is right on track….and sometimes a little ahead of it!
He had some shots today….he cried pretty hard during, but calmed down soon after with a little hug & ‘shhhing’ from mom. He is officially in 3 – 6 month clothes. I put a sleeper on him & he fit it just fine.
Milestones – he attended his first Pat McCurdy show last Thursday, he decided to pee while his diaper was off on Monday (he hit himself), and he is sleeping in his cradle for multiple hours (only getting up 1 – 2 times a night).
Mommy & Daddy are very proud & loving having him around. Things are pretty busy with mom going back to work part-time (thanks to Grandma Kleinhans for coming to watch him!), dad working on getting all the college students moved, and dad finishing his 2 grad courses. George brings much joy to us & reminds us of the important things. Eating, sleeping, staying clean & most of all – snuggle time and smiles.
