6 months & still growing…

George had his 6 month check up today.  He is 29.1″ tall (97%), 19.4 lbs (75%), and has a head circumference of 44 cm (50%).  So, overall he continues to grow!

Dr. said he is doing fine – he seems to be hitting all of the milestones for his age.  He is eating rice cereal and veggies during the day and likes most of them.  Seems that peas are his favorite, but he had squash last week & liked the sweet flavor.  Dr. House said he should not getting up to feed anymore at night and that as long as I keep feeding him, he’ll continue to wake at night.  Tonight I’ll not feed him & see how it goes.  That should be fun.

I’m sure you’ve seen that he learned to pull himself from a sitting position to standing position….well, we lowered the crib and now he can’t really do it because his arms aren’t that long.  However, he sits well & has started to lunge forward and to get to where he wants to be.  He is a very strong and determined little guy.  He has also gotten his first tooth in the past week.  The lower left tooth has broken through – he is doing well!

Other than that, Matt’s & my schedules have gotten even busier with school starting, our jobs, his classes, and my program responsibilities – but we are figuring it out.  George continues to charm the students in the hall, at the Union and at the Childcare Center….not to mention his parents.
