Cranky Buttons!

Well it sure has been an exciting few weeks lately. Currently George’s menu includes rice cereal in the morning for breakfast and for dinner with a inter-mixing of yummy vegetables for lunch and dinner. He has always been a champ at eating his rice cereal as you can see (movie below) but when we first started serving him green beans… that was a different story. He made “the face” oh yes. It is as good as it sounds. It looks like the face you would make if someone shoved a very old sour patch kid in their that went bad (if they do go bad).

As time wore on so did the perseverance of the parental units. Yes, we have won this round and George is finally devouring his green beans with as much enthusiasm as hungry pup finding his first piece of pizza accidentally discarded onto the ground. The trick we think was to continue to feed it to him and let him become acquainted. Oh it did help that we began warming them up.

Other than this we have not been up to much. This past weekend the exciting news was that we took a trip to Appleton and purchased another addition to our apartment and family… a new leather couch and recliner and three matching tables. All very exciting news especially as the time ticks away and we get ever closer to moving off campus to our own house/apt.

All-in-all things are dandy except the fact that George has now decided to revert to waking up 2 – 3 times during the night and loves to skip naps during the afternoon. Allowing us the pleasure to experience “Cranky Buttons” a child that appears to be sleeping with his eyes open but continues to drool and attempt to eat everything, while only pausing to whimper periodicall and cry when not being held.

Oh, but we love him. So we look forward to the next month as he continue to grow and develop into a little dude.

P.S. Today George is 5 months old!
