We have survived the first two weeks with George at home. He was a bit fussy the first couple of days, but overall is a wonderful baby. We are working to adjust our schedules to his seeing he still has his nights & days mixed up…which is getting better…but not quite figured out yet. He had his 2 week check up where the Dr. wants to see him back to his birth weight of 7 lbs 7 oz…..much to our surprise he weighed in at 8 lbs 6 oz – so it seems he is indeed getting enough to eat! In addition to his increased weight, he grew an additional 1 3/4″ since he was born measuring 22 3/4″ long. Pretty sure we are going to have a big boy on our hands.
I am amazed each day how George gains control of his arms and learns to soothe himself. He loves to have his bottom tapped when walked around as well as the tune to Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star (ABCs & Ba-Bah Blacksheep)….not to mention his amazement of lights. He will stare at lights for a good amount of time. Good thing for us, we have lots of lights to choose from in the apartment.
George had his Baptism last week & did quite well. He slept through the service and his first party, but it was better for people to hold & love him that way. We were lucky to have all the aunts & uncles and grandparents here to celebrate with us that day. Matt has gone back to work….but checks in on us and is a WONDERFUL daddy. Matt can calm George in a matter of minutes. He is there for both George & me…we are so lucky.
We’ll keep giving updates as they happen…but mostly say thank you to everyone for their well wishes and kind words. George is looking forward to meeting each of you!

Yes, he really seemed to like that butt-pat when Kerry and I were visiting! 🙂 Sara, I love you guys and am looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
George is changing! Wow – that smile, reminds me of his parents’ smiles. Thanks for sharing these amazing pitures of George, Sara Ann and Matt.
We love all of you! AJ
