As we look to enter the final weeks of the pregnancy we find ourselves trying to slow down, recover, and get ready for what is ahead of us. Over the past three weeks thanks to our friends, family members, and co-workers we were very fortunate to attend numerous baby showers which blessed us with some truly wonderful and useful gifts. This was comforting to see so many people help support us as we venture down the unforeseen path of becoming parents very shortly.
There are so many things going on in both our professional lives that we have been kept very busy and this has taken some of the anxiety away. I guess at this point we have read what we can, talked to who we need to, and have done all that we can to get the baby room ready. Now we get to sit back and enjoy the time we have together before we welcome the newest member of our family into this world.
There are some many things that one could attempt to prepare, but in the end it all comes down to, “what’s best for the baby” and “what does the baby want/need.” We may think we know, but truly none of us have any idea. But that’s the best part about life. The unique, individuality, personality, and character of who we are. So as we wait to find out what is next to come we marvel and the thought that our child will be it’s own person. We will do our best to make sure we instill proper reasoning and decision making, and a good set of manners, but ultimately they are who they are. This is what excites me most. Knowing that I will have the special opportunity to help this new person in the world seek out the development they need, and be a guide as they walk down the path of life. Searching for answers to the very questions that we as adults often still struggle with “who are we?” and “what is my purpose?”
Now as we sit here and revel at the building anticipation we do what have to do and hurry up and wait for the arrival of baby Suwalski.

Matt: You should have been a writer! We too sit in anticipation of the newest arrival to our family. I am trying to keep out of the stores, as I find myself often in the baby department.
The greatest gift from God is about to happen to you two. Remember that time flys fast so enjoy every moment with your baby. Before you know it, they will be grown and you’ll look back, as I am doing, and wondering how fast our children grew up.
Love, Mom/Linda/Grandma-to-be
Matt, what a beautiful entry.
I can’t believe Sara Ann is over 37 weeks pregnant — it’s really getting close! I love you guys so much and cannot wait to meet your baby.
You two are so ready to have a child!! I seriously wish that other parents were as deliberate with their planning as you two have been thus far. You both will be great, nuturing parents and your child will be so lucky to have you as their parent. Enjoy the last few weeks before little Suwalski arrives. 🙂
